D and S Construction Safety and Health Program Our general policies: All Employees are required to have their own safety glasses and wear them. Bring them to the job site everyday! Hard hats and sound protection are provided when necessary. We will have regular safety meetings to go over safe use of equipment and safe habits for particular situations. Each employee will be instructed in the correct and safe use of any power tools or equipment they will be operating. Never operate any piece of equipment without safety instruction and the proper safety equipment. If you feel unsafe in any situation, do not proceed. Regarding smoking: We are a smoke-free company that does not allow our workers or subs to smoke on the job site. All tobacco products are dangerous to your mental and physical health. Second hand smoke is also dangerous to anyone breathing it. Smoking is a fire hazard, also. We discourage the use of tobacco products by any employees. No smoking is permitted on the job site. No smoke breaks are permitted, except at lunch time, off the site. Regarding alcohol: Alcohol abuse is a huge problem in our society. It debilitates all who use it, making it an extreme hazard when working on a job site, or operating any type of equipment. We discourage the use of all alcoholic beverages. Absolutely no drinking or drunkenness is allowed on our job sites. Any employees smelling of liquor and coming to work will be dismissed. Regarding drugs: If
you use any illegal drugs, you cannot work for D and S. If we become aware of
